XO 5.71
Backup auto restore check, RPUv3, vUSB VM backups

Hello there,

Xen Orchestra 5.71 is now available, with our Backup auto restore check system ready to go! We also improved our Rolling Pool Update feature (RPU), as well as some other cool features. Additionally, don't miss our latest user story on migrating from VMware to XCP+XO. Finally, we drastically improved our release email theme, as you can see.

⚕️ Backup auto restore check Enterprise

Performing backups is great. Automatically testing them to see if they worked is even better. It's now possible in this release. Discover what you can do with it.

♻️ Rolling Pool Update v3 Enterprise

RPU will now automatically disable backup jobs before starting, to avoid any interference during host reboots. If you have running jobs, you'll be notified too!

💾 Backup VMs with vUSB device Starter

XO is now able to automatically unplug your vUSB device before doing a snapshot, allowing you to actually backup your VM where you couldn't before.

⏭️ [NOBAK] for basic backup Starter

With Delta backups, you could already avoid exporting a disk by adding [NOBAK]. However it wasn't possible in Basic full backups (using XVAs), until now.

📰 And more!

We also improved the web updater, created a cache in the restore view (it's now faster to load), added a new REST API endpoint to import a disk and many other things as well as bug fixes. The changelog is available with all the details. There's also a video version of this release announcement.
